Ecommerce revenue models:

  • Retail
  • Wholesale
  • Dropshipping: 3rd party gets order and either the manufacturer or some other 3rd party ships
  • Subscription

Ecommerce:

  • Organization: top level entity under which all the accounts, sites are created
  • B2C commerce runs with site which is directly linked with data and roe code
  • Storefront is the one which customer uses to browse, checkout etc
  • There are different ways we can configure sites in SFCC for B2C commerce:
    • One site and single storefront
    • One site and multiple storefront
    • Multiple site and multiple storefront
